Gregor al Darmin, 23, born and raised in Cormyrian nobility Gregor Merendil was groomed to be the Seat of House Merendil. Trained as a Paladin by the Cleric, supervising the Lathander shrine on his parental estate, he was looking to be a great fit, to bring some of the fleeting glory and influence back to his family, by excelling in the army. Much to his parents dismay however, there was an incident, when he was just 17 years old. Though, I will not further go into detail out of respect for the involved parties, it is safe to say, that it was unseemly. The fallout was massive, and resulted in his family disowning him, forcing him to give up his name and thereby surrendering the right of patronage to his cousin. His parents moved to a small estate in shame, whilst Gregor took solace in the bottle. After being kicked out of yet another tavern for having caused yet another barfight, he found himself somehow in the care of a Dormian. Dormian was a retired stalwart war priest. Fascinated by the old man, Greg found himself, for the first time since the incident, feeling hunger again. The monk worshipped Tempus, and everything, the faith brought with itself, resonated with Greg. After a two Years of training under Dormian, Greg took on the name and (self proclaimed) title: Gregor al Darmin Light of Cymrych HughBla Bla Bla fast forward a few Years… Greg is now on a great conquest for the world. He would prove Merendil, Cormyr, heck the whole World wrong, shunning him like they did. He would form an empire as vast and bountiful as the heavens. Cormyr would beg to be ruled by him, as it was destined from the beginning. Though obvious to the reader, Greg, at the moment of this writing, is wholly unaware of the unrealistic and petty nature of his ambitions. On the contrary, a combination of trying to explain his outcasting and the tenets of his newfound faith compelled him to believe, that this path not only is his destiny, but that it is his moral duty, to create and subsequently rule paradise on earth.
